OUR FOUNDER

With a vision for building something meaningful, our founder brings a genuine love of dance and a determination to make a impactful contribution to both cancer research and direct patient care within Ontario regional cancer centres. A deeply personal cause, cancer has affected Brooklyn and her family in ways that are often unseen. Brooklyn and much of her family carry a hereditary genetic mutation that causes a predisposition for many cancers.

Rather than allowing that connection to be defined by fear, Brooklyn has chosen to turn it into action. Assemblé: For the Cause was created from the belief that the dance community has the ability to do more than come together in a studio or on a stage. We can come together to create meaningful change.

For Brooklyn, Assemblé is about more than just dance. It’s about community, purpose and trust. She strives to create a space where dancers can grow, and families can feel confident about their support in our events and see the impact their contributions make. Transparency is at the heart of Assemblé.
